Each is approx. 10" w x 15.5" ht.

Created at a time when my interests began to change. I felt torn in two directions, a bit afraid to leave a security blanket (almost literally) behind and start on a path that provided more freedom of expression. The red-orange areas represent imaginary fears while the allure of the laces, beads and velvet are the temptations to take a chance with something new.

Velvet, lace, embroidered satin, taffeta, sheers, hand-painted cotton, beads. Heavily Free motion machine quilted.
