Ruby was created for my sister-in-law, Carolyn,  for Xmas 2006. She works for a veterinarian and loves all animals. The doll is an original pattern, using a beige cat and dog print for the upper body and torso, and she has thigh-high stockings of a doggie bone print. The multi-layered skirt, trimmed in beads uses another pet-print fabric, dark forest green and a burgundy. Her little companion, a small dog, is made out of paperclay.

Cotton fabrics, hand-drawn and sculptured face, decorative yarn for hair, polyfil stuffing; when standing, about 18" high.

A gift card is attached to her arm, explaining the meaning of her name.
