Art Doll Gallery 3 (2009 - 2010)

This year I discovered what it's like to work in a series of 5 or 6 dolls started along one basic design, then allow them to evolve into their own personalities.
One challenge is to narrow down which materials to use, as the art form seems to allow for so many options and expressions. New inspiration often comes from the most unexpected sources!

The sense of adventure and the rewards of solitary exploration keep me fascinated for hours. I'll be surprised when I finally look at the clock to see what time it is.

Design changes evolve with each new doll or series. There seems to always be something I want to tweak or a need to try new ideas.

I feel rewarded when someone reacts to a doll with a sense of recognition. It resonates in some way to their soul or reminds them of an all too familiar feeling or expression.
I also feel a sense of serendipity when several design decisions within one doll all come together in complimentary ways I had not envisioned.

As long as this art form provides surprises and challenges, I will be compelled to find out "What if?"

Click on Images for larger pics and details about each doll for sale.

Thanks for being curious, and please check back often for gallery updates!
