This art quilt was inspired by Dianne Horvath's photography.

. This was a close-up of a hydrangea bloom. Dianne let me use her image in this wall
quilt. I "fractured" the colour gradations into 6 shades, machine
appliquéd the pieces with an invisible zig zag stitch and free
motion machine quilted it in a variety of threads. The stamen buds are
three dimensional small balls of fabric-covered batting. Commercial fabrics were used, fossil fern
prints and batiks.
