Rose Petals

The bloom I photographed for this piece was in shades of peach, but I had a greater variety of pink and red tones in my collection of fabric, so I used those fabrics to depict the swirling shapes and gradations of colour. This also has been embellished with decorative yarns along the edges of some of the petals. This wall quilt was juried into the Ontario Juried Quilt show, displayed at the University of Waterloo, 2003.

“Rose Petals ” was also juried into the Threadworks 2004 competition and toured Ontario galleries and museums thru 2007.
