Eagle wings are long and broad, highly effective for soaring. Turbulence is reduced when the wings are fully extended and the tapered tips become widely separated. The wingspan varies from 72 to 90 inches.

Machine appliqué, heavily machine quilted.

This Artquilt was  juried into the Grand National 2005 competition at the Kitchener/Waterloo Art Gallery, "Airborne" Theme.

"Wing of an Eagle" was also juried into the "Art in Fibre" show at the Neilson Park Creative Centre, Etobicoke, ON. July, 2005.
