Got Milk(weed)?

Size: 40” x 41” (2004)

A Monarch butterfly and caterpillar meet at a garden party, looking for Milkweed, their main source of sustenance. 

Decorative yarns have been couched onto the surface to add glitz and fuzzy detail to the subjects. Machine appliquéd, free-motion machine quilted.

This quilt was accepted into the Threadworks 2004 competition and was on Tour with the Exhibit until 2007.
