The theme for the auction this year was "Flexibility". One of my favourite things to watch on TV is ice-skating competitions. The control, the grace and the flexibility, the expressions thru music...it's not only a sport, but a form of art. Sasha Cohen is one artist I enjoy the most. This is a tribute to her, and my 2006 auction donation to benefit the Toronto Osteoporosis Society at the Oshawa Fibre Art Show.

Machine applique, free-motion machine quilted, decorative yarns couched onto her skirt, and hand drawn and hand painted details and shadows.
