The first section I created in the construction of the Zodiac. "Earth" was hand painted, with shadows added around the edges of each planet. Quite a bit of painting detail in the face of the moon. Symbols are hand-embroidered around the inner navy band. Points of the sun are two layers of prairie points. The longer gold sunrays are machine appliqued.
